This wine pops with sensual aromatics, vibrant color, dark fruit and spice, and an electric crackle of energy. The palate is medium weight for Pinot, with some whole cluster structure, but could not be more lively. Boisterous, not contemplative, this is the bottle you drink before AND after your Grand Cru Burgundy. Blackberry, sandalwood, violet, red licorice, clove, juicy mid-palate, with sandy tannins and a clean whole cluster finish.
