If you like Sauvignon Blanc then this wine will certainly appeal to you. L'Enclos comprises two varietals; 50% Ugni Blanc and 50% Colombard. Ugni Blanc (known as Trebbiano in Italy) is the most widely planted white grape in France, being found mainly along the Provençal coast. Ugni Blanc's aroma is primarily fruit-driven, with bright citrus notes like lemon and quince. Colombard is a white French wine grape variety that is the offspring of Gouais Blanc and Chenin Blanc. Colombard is often used as a blending grape for table wine or as a base wine in the distillation process for Armagnac (brandy). Colombard has a high natural acidity making it a good choice for blends.
