The 2021 Ex Umbris opens on the nose with dark fruits and a touch of minerality. The lingering aromas then give way to blackberry and blueberry on the palate. Subtle black pepper and licorice follows the fruit to the mid-palate. The tannins are structured yet smooth, which makes this a great wine to drink now or lay it down for a few years.
