A great Burgundy red wine from the Savigny-les-Beaune commune. The grape variety used is Pinot Noir. This parcel is more than 50 years old. The name "Aux Fournaux" refers to the coal kilns of which remains have been found. The wines are coloured, elegant, quite powerful, marked by a dominant of Morello cherries, black currant, raspberry, then subsequently developing notes of undergrowth after some years. Savigny-les-Beaune is delicate with discreet tannins. The premier cru comes from the upper part of this big parcel, the soil is poorer and less humid than the bottom part of the slope, classified village, the tannins are finer and they develop a longer presence in the mouth.
